In this episode of the Christian Podcast, we discuss the importance of placing faith in Jesus Christ. Too often, people rely on their good deeds to get into heaven, but that’s simply not enough. We must have faith in Jesus to be saved.

Good Works Can’t Save You – Only Jesus Can

Have you ever been told that as long as you are a good person, you will go to heaven? Unfortunately, this isn’t true. The Bible is very clear that our good works cannot save us. The bible says that our righteousness is like filthy rags in God’s eyes. So, if we can’t be saved by our good works, how can we be saved? The answer is through faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus died on the cross for our sins and rose again three days later. When we put our faith in Him, He forgives us of our sins and gives us eternal life. There is nothing we can do to earn our salvation- it is a gift from God. If you are not sure where you will spend eternity, I encourage you to turn to Jesus Christ today and ask Him to forgive you of your sins and come into your life.

How Can We Be Saved?

The Bible is very clear that our good works cannot save us. The bible says that our righteousness is like filthy rags in God’s eyes. So, if we can’t be saved by our good works, how can we be saved? The answer is through faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus died on the cross for our sins and rose again three days later. When we put our faith in Him, He forgives us of our sins and gives us eternal life. There is nothing we can do to earn our salvation- it is a gift from God.

Why We Can’t Be Saved By Our Good Works

Have you ever wondered why your good works can’t save you? It’s because our righteousness is like filthy rags in God’s eyes. How could something soiled and dirty ever be good enough for a holy God? Just like a dirty rag needs to be washed clean, so do we need to be cleansed of our sins before we can come into God’s presence. And just as a dirty rag can never be clean enough on its own, we could never make ourselves clean enough through our efforts. We need someone else to do the cleansing for us- and that someone is Jesus Christ.

What Is Faith?

Faith is believing in something without having tangible proof. It’s trusting that something is true even when you can’t see it with your own two eyes. When it comes to faith in Jesus Christ, it means believing that He died on the cross for your sins and rose again three days later- even though you weren’t there to see it yourself. It means trusting His word that if you put your faith in Him, He will forgive you of your sins and give you eternal life- even though forgiveness and eternal life are things you can’t see or touch or hold in your hand right now.

Just being a good person isn’t enough

As Christians, we often see people post on social media about being good people. It’s a sentiment that we can all get behind, but it’s not enough. Just being a good person isn’t enough to get into heaven. To get into heaven, we need to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We need to repent of our sins and ask him to be our Lord and Savior. We need to strive to live a life that is pleasing to him. Simply being a good person isn’t enough. We need to do more than that if we want to spend eternity in heaven with our Father.

How do we get into Heaven?

To get into heaven, we need to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Christianity is not about being a good person or living up to some set of standards or rules. Christianity is about having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. When we repent of our sins and ask him to be our Lord and Savior, he washes us clean and makes us new creations (2 Corinthians 5:17). We are no longer defined by our sins; rather, we are now defined by our relationship with Christ. And that is what gets us into heaven—our relationship with Christ.

What does it mean to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ?

When we talk about having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, what does that mean? Does it mean that we have a one-on-one conversation with him every day? Does it mean that we spend time reading the Bible and praying? While these things can certainly be part of a personal relationship with Christ, they are not the only things that define it. A personal relationship with Christ is simply a relationship in which we strive to follow his teachings and example in our daily lives. It is a relationship characterized by faith, hope, and love. It is a journey that we walk each day, step by step. And it is a journey that is worth taking, for it leads us to eternal life.

The Difference Between Good People and People with Saving Faith

A lot of people think that as long as they’re good people, they’ll be saved. But that’s not necessarily true. Just because someone is a good person doesn’t mean they have saving faith. Saving faith is faith in Jesus Christ that leads to salvation. It’s not just being a good person. A lot of people are good people, but they don’t have saving faith. They may not realize that there’s a difference between the two. But it’s important to understand the difference because it can make all the difference in whether or not you’re saved. If you have saving faith, you’re saved. If you don’t, you’re not. So it’s important to make sure you have saving faith. You can have it by repenting of your sins and trusting in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. Don’t rely on your goodness. Rely on Jesus Christ!

How Can You Tell if You Have Saving Faith?

Saving faith is more than just being a good person. It’s about having faith in Jesus Christ that leads to salvation. So how can you tell if you have saving faith? There are a few things to look for:

First, if you have saving faith, you will repent of your sins. This means that you will turn away from your sin and strive to live a life that is pleasing to God. Second, if you have saving faith, you will trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. You won’t put your trust in anything or anyone else. You will know that only Jesus can save you from your sins and give you eternal life. Third, if you have saving faith, you will obey God’s commands. This doesn’t mean that you will be perfect, but it does mean that you will strive to obey God out of love and respect for Him. If you see these things in your life, then chances are good that you have saving faith.

Do You Have Saving Faith?

Now that you know what to look for, take a moment to examine your own heart and life. Do you see evidence of saving faith? If not, don’t despair! You can still receive salvation by repenting of your sins and putting your trust in Jesus Christ today! He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). So if you want to receive salvation, all you need to do is turn from your sin and put your trust in Jesus Christ today!

Saving Faith is a Daily Choice to Follow Jesus

Blog Introduction: The other day, I was listening to a podcast and the host said something that resonated with me. He said that saving faith is not just believing in Jesus, but trusting Him with your life. This means having a relationship with Jesus where you follow His commands and obey His Word. It’s not enough to just believe that He exists, you must also Trust Him enough to hand over the steering wheel of your life.

When we do this, we are entrusting Him with our future and putting our hope in Him. This is what it means to have saving faith. It’s not just a one-time decision, but a daily choice to follow Jesus. Are you ready to trust Him with your life? Read on for 3 reasons why you should!

Following Jesus brings purpose to your life.

When you become a follower of Jesus, you are no longer living for yourself but Him. This means that your life has purpose and meaning beyond yourself. It’s not about what you can get out of this world, but what you can give back because of the hope that you have in Jesus.

Following Jesus gives you peace in chaos.

This world is full of chaos and stress, but when you have Jesus in your life, you can have peace amidst the storm. You know that no matter what happens in this world, He is still in control and He has a plan for your life.

Following Jesus gives you hope for the future.

When you put your trust in Jesus, you can have hope for the future regardless of what may come your way. This world is full of heartache and pain, but we know that ultimately there will be a day when all sorrows will be turned into joy because we will be with Him forever in heaven.

Jesus is the Only Way to Heaven

Many people believe that there are many ways to ensure your eternal life in heaven, but the Bible makes it clear that there is only one way. In John 14:6, Jesus says, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” This is a clear statement that Jesus is the only way to have a relationship with God. In addition, Jesus is the only one who can forgive our sins and give us new life. He died on the cross and rose again so that we could be forgiven and have eternal life. When we place our trust in Jesus, we can be confident that we will spend eternity in heaven with Him.

Why is this important? Because if we don’t have a relationship with Jesus, we will spend eternity in hell. Hell is a real place, and it’s not something to take lightly. Hell is described as a place of “eternal fire” where there will be “weeping and gnashing of teeth” (Matthew 25:41). It’s a place of separation from God, and it’s where Satan reigns supreme. If you don’t want to spend eternity in hell, you need to put your trust in Jesus Christ today.

How do I know that Jesus is the only way to heaven? The Bible tells us so. In Matthew 7:13-14, Jesus says, “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” This makes it very clear that there are two paths before us—the path to destruction (hell) or the path to life (heaven). It also tells us that few people find the path to life because it’s narrow and difficult to find.

What does it mean when Scripture says that “No one comes to the Father except through me”? This means that we cannot have a relationship with God unless we go through His Son, Jesus Christ. We need Jesus to forgive our sins because we are all sinners (Romans 3:23). When we put our faith in Jesus Christ, He washes away our sins and gives us new life (2 Corinthians 5:17). This new life includes a relationship with God and everlasting life in heaven with Him.

Being a good person is a great start, but it’s not enough. Jesus said that there is only one way to heaven and that’s through Him. In this podcast, we talked about the difference between good people and those with saving faith in Jesus Christ. We also shared how being saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ is a daily choice to follow Him no matter what. We hope this podcast encourages you to take the next step in your spiritual journey and learn more about who Jesus is and what He has done for us.
